Renovated Mervit product line: more than a facelift!

Pre-Mervo has renewed the Mervit minerals product line and added three new products! Evaluation of the inclusion of phosphorus in Mervit mineral mixes, new ration standards and increased attention to promoting animal health via nutrition are reasons for reviewing the product line. Furthermore, the increasingly large spread of minerals and trace elements found in roughage is now taken into account in the recommended doses. The product line contains a series of mineral mixes that cover the needs for minerals, trace elements and vitamins in different types of rations. A new addition to this line is Mervit CALF & HEIFER ZP. This product is suited for older heifers and heifers that are still fed phosphorus compound feed. Mervit DRY COW Premium is the new addition to the dry cow minerals category. In comparison to other dry cow minerals, this product contains additional compounds, including beta carotene, rumen-bypass choline chloride and organically bound trace elements that specifically support the fertility and health of the cow after calving. This is particularly relevant for dairy farms where the attention and time available for each individual cow is limited. Another new product is Mervit BOOST. This mineral mix provides maximum stimulation to the metabolism at the start of lactation. This increases milk production and feed intake, while reducing the consequences of a negative energy balance. Mervit HEALTH, for special applications, is also part of the product line. This mix is designed for situations in which the absorption of trace elements in the intestine or the general resistance of the animal are repressed. A high proportion of organically bound trace elements plays a role in this. The product line also contains the new mix Mervit UDDER HEALTH, a variant of this mix. This product contains medium chain fatty acids (MCFA). Practical trials show that these fatty acids sharply reduce the number of cells in milk and consequently contribute to improved udder health. With the renewal of the assortment, the smaller 20 kg packaging and new product codes are introduced. The products are characterised by a perfect granular structure resulting from a precise selection of particle size and a unique feature that allows the mixes to be mixed with molasses. Small particles are consequently bound to the molasses and separation and dust formation are prevented this way.
